I use these to talk to my son when he’s out in the neighborhood playing with his friends. They have a pretty solid range, and are pretty clear. They do feel like they could be broken fairly easily, but that’s expected at this price point. If you want to keep touch of your kids while they are out playing, but don’t want to do a cell phone, it’s a great option. They would also work well for kids talking to each other a few houses away from one another.

  2. Geoff Ables

We really enjoy these walkie talkies, but the only thing is that its not easy to select the channel you want the walkie talkie to be on. You press a button, the flips thru the channels continuously and you press the button again to stop on the right channel… seems simple but its hard to get the timing right, when the channel you want comes up you have about half a second to select it. Seems like a very odd design choice…

  3. Nora

These are pretty good. They have a decent range of 5-6 blocks. The sound quality is a little fuzzy but that’s to be expected from walkie talkies. The charger is one charger with two ends so you can charge together. They also do work with other brands of kid walkie talkies as long as you’re on the same channel. This is nice if your child has friends who also have walkie talkies but can also be a negative if you don’t want other people to be able to accidentally contact your child.

Bought this for my niece for Christmas. Good quality and she loved talking to her sister all over the house!

  5. Positronic

What a great set for a young child – or anyone, really! Mine used this for a science project and then kept them for play. They have great stretch and transmission is clear throughout our neighborhood. The controls are simple enough for a 7 year old to use and understand. Highly recommended!

  6. GEC

Most walkie talkies for children are filled with static and outside noises. These walkie talkies are more like adult ones. They are well made and easy to use. The sound quality is very clear. There is no need for batteries since the walkie talkies can be charged through a USB cord (included). Adults might also enjoy using these little radios when children aren’t playing with them. I am very pleased with these walkie talkies!

  7. Giselle

These go the distance. Easy to use and is a great product. I’m able to talk my grandson that lives 2 mile away from my home. This is a great well made product!

  8. Sean

Great for kids…or if you are using in a nearby vicinity. I will warn you though, with kids…make sure you have enough for each kid! They come in pairs, very handy and love that they are rechargeable!!! Sold sold sold.

A little smaller than expected but still, very cuteSounds clearSeeing this is for girls ages 3- 12, I wish the buttons were a little bigger.GiftablePacked well

I have ordered so many walkie-talkies and I was expecting these to be a toy quality and they are nicer than I thought they would be. They are not easily breakable they charge quickly, and they have multiple channels we have had some interference where I heard other people on our same channel which seemed to be a truck driver but you could always just switch channels

These are completely adorable. My daughters and I love the pink!Best of all, there are no batteries to buy!My 9 year old and 5 year old play with them at the lake all the time. We haven’t had any issues. They worked straight out of the box. They have clear sound, bright, clear screen and a nice little flashlight at the top. Perfect gift for Christmas!

Our kids love playing with walkie-talkies and these are just fabulous! The rechargable system is better than having to keep changing batteries. The sound quality is very clear. The only drawback is the talk button is not on the side like other ones and its in the middle of the front along with other buttons so it isn’t as easy to use but still works just fine. The kids love these!

what I like about this product:- built in flash light- kids enjoy playing with them- no more batteries! Our last walkie talkies took batteries, which could be inconvenient and costly- very lightweight for having an internal battery- short range sounds very clear and great quality- Long range (goes up to almost 2 miles, but still have to test that part out)- made from non-toxic materials- could be clipped on to your clothesdislike:- nothing so far!

My kids had been asking me to get them walkie talkies for quite some time. I was concerned about others getting on their channel, but these have 22 channels to choose from. The range is great – several streets over and the sound is still crisp. I like the size of these – perfect for little hands to carry.

They are rechargeable, easy to use, way longer range than I would have expected, and really cute! I was quite a long way away before I even began to hear static. There is a backlight for the screen, call tone, volume control. These are legit walkie-talkies!

  30. T.TAYLOR

Superb quality and style. I’ve yet to figure out the distance between the 2 before interference but they work well. You can page, tune into different channels, scan and more. I know they say child walkie talkie but adults for sure can get a kick out of these. Stuck one of these in my husband’s back pocket at the aquarium and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience (parking garage, Cafe, seal and 🐬 show, and bathroom breaks).

  31. Patricia

Why do you want these? That is the question you have to ask yourselves. If it’s so your children can communicate with each other, I can verify that these do well inside the house, through walls and into the backyard. That’s only 80 feet, though. I haven’t been able to test them off the property.I ordered them for a few reasons. They had rechargeable batteries.Unfortunately those batteries are not removable, though the instructions tell you to remove them if the walkies get wet. This is in the same breath as “…Please don’t disassemble the radio’s circuit or hardware by yourself.”The cover has 4 screws and the battery is attached by thin wires. I didn’t even attempt to pry the battery off because it’s so tiny and I didn’t see any markings to indicate what type of battery it is. Rectangular. That’s all I could see. Thin and rectangular. Now I know why it has a smaller profile than some of the other “children’s” walkies that I ordered this week. It has no batteries to DIY remove and replace/recharge.I also ordered it to add to our other sets.Since I’m new to walkie-talkies, I didn’t know about the privacy codes until this week. This set uses only CTCSS codes, where the other ones we ordered use both CTCSS and DCS. This means that, in order to use these, we have to reset all of ours from DCS to CTCSS codes. This is inconvenient for the blind, who cannot do this themselves. It also means we have less privacy codes to use. Not sure how many of our neighbors are using walkie-talkies, but it limits us and we do not like limits when other options are available. We ordered this set because of the flashlight. Seemed convenient. We’re always needing one. My daughter said, “That’s some creepy thriller movie flashlight. I’m not using that.” It doesn’t really light up more than what you point at. I didn’t even bother looking for a way to replace the bulb. At this point, it didn’t seem likely that we’d use them or even want replacements. We ordered this set because of the weather channel. I might have forgiven everything else about these walkie-talkies if the weather station worked. It doesn’t.Of three brands tested, one for adults and two for children, it was the OTHER children’s set of walkies that had the best option for weather stations. When you can choose the clearest station from 10 stations and it comes in CLEAR, with the rare bout of static, why would you use a radio that 1) doesn’t pick up any station at all and 2) has no option to change the channel? Also, you have to press and hold the weather channel to listen to it. On the other children’s brand, the channel can be selected and left to play.Since I cannot change the batteries without difficulty and expense, cannot listen to the weather station, cannot use the flashlight and do not have a wider option of privacy channels, I’m not fond of these. Why would I expect more from a children’s walkie-talkie? Because the other set arrived first and is a better first introduction for children (and adults). The other set came with more units, removable and replaceable batteries, lanyards for ease of carrying, belt hooks also, great sound quality and the weather channel works. That’s why I expect more. Because there is better out there. But, if you only need them to communicate, they are good for that. Is it a good price for this? Eh…It’s a bit high, but it is cheaper than phone service. It’s cheaper to replace than a phone, should they drop or lose them.Bottom line: I personally wouldn’t order these again. I’m all for rechargeable, but I also need convenient to replace batteries. And our family NEEDS the weather station. It’s inconvenient to add a set that doesn’t work the same as the rest. These aren’t even close to matching other brands out there.

I’m not sure why this is being marked as for kids, perhaps because they are green? What is actually being sold is a full-function pair of rechargeable FRS two-way radios. As such, they will interoperate with ANY standard FRS radio. As with most FRS radios, they have 22 channels and 38 privacy codes, which can be turned off if required. Also, as with most FRS radios, they claim a three mile range – perhaps in the open desert this might be true, if one user was on top of a tower? But in practical use, most FRS radios max out at around 1.5 to 2 miles, and a bit less in dense urban areas. These radios have a micro-USB connector (booo, all products these days should have USB-C) for recharging, and will accept any USB charger. Included is a “Y” cable that adapts a single USB-A plug to dual micro-USB plugs, so that both radios can be charged simultaneously. The radios also have a small white LED on top that can be triggered on and off.Unlike many FRS radios, these radios have a scan function that will scan through all 22 FRS channels and stop when it hears someone transmitting on one of them. They also have a squelch override, and a hands-free VOX transmit function with adjustable sensitivity. There are quite a few options in the menu of these radios that do something…but I have no idea what, because they are not mentioned in the very brief manual. So your guess is as good as mine as to what they do.Overall they are nice, functional radios with typical FRS range, lots of functions, and are rechargeable. The sound quality of the radios is acceptable, although the microphone sensitivity is on the low side The complex menu functionality may mystify children, and the radio could accidentally be configured to stop communicating with the other radio (i.e. changing channel or privacy code) which would frustrate kids. Maybe adults, too.Who is this for?- Anyone who needs a decent pair of rechargeable FRS radios for communication purposesPros:- Standard FRS- Supports all privacy codes- Scanning function- VOX function- Rechargeable rather than battery poweredCons:- Poor manual- Menuing system very unclear as to what you’re changing

These are much better than I expected. They have a clear sound and work great. Kids can communicate all over the house and outside. I didn’t see how far apart we could go but they are doing well so far. A lot of different channels and features for a kids toy. I would make sure that if your kids do hear anyone over the radio they don’t know, to let the parents know. Since they are pretty versatile, there is a possibility of hearing someone else. The LED Light is a nice feature. I had no problem syncing with the other radio. Being rechargeable is a great feature. Overall, a great set of radios. đŸ‘đŸ»đŸ‘đŸ»đŸ‘đŸ»

This set is small enough and cute enough to work for kids. They are rechargeable, come with a cord that can charge both at once, and a detailed set of instructions. I’ve been using these to get ahold of my kid who lives upstairs when I need his attention. Otherwise the kids love playing with them.

These have a very nice range for the design. The volume is very loud and easy to understand. I like the color and easy if use. The kids had no problem using them from house to house down the street with Bo interference. The additional features are a nice plus. The plastic casing seems strong and withstand serious so far. The recharge time is fast and the battery life is very good for the size i of the unit

Fits in the pocket or on the clip.USB charging. with dual charging cord.Charges quickly and the charge lasts for weeks, when in the off position.Voices come in very clear.Long range. Worked up to a mile before transmission was lost.Con.You sometimes hear other peoples’ conversations, if not locked into one specific one.I guess that means other people can hear yours.Overall.Our grandchildren really enjoy them and use them for playing hide and seek and around the neighborhood.

Took these around the neighborhood for a test. Walked about 7 to 8 houses down (about 410 feet) and it still worked perfectly. Love that it has a light that can help when trying to read a map or paper in the dark. Sounds very clear. Arrived with a full charge so you can take them out of the package and go! Very easy to use and plenty of channels to choose from. Can be used in so many places and situations
for camping, on a cruise ship, at a theme park or around the house just for fun! Definitely recommend!!

This walkie talk set works great. First off the sound is excellent. I really appreciate that the sound is clear and crisp and comes through clean!! There no sound distortion or crazy interference. The instruction manual is very thorough and pretty well written for the most part.It takes a minute to figure out how to navigate the walkie talkies on first use. The buttons are pretty straight forward and easy to learn. There’s a search button that searches all the stations for activity, a lock button to lock and change channels one by one, there’s a cool light light feature which lightens up the screen and emits a soft little flash light as well. And the other cool thing is the ring tone. There’s a ring button that rings the other walkie talkie which works great for checking to see if the receiver can talk or notifying when you’re done transmitting or talkings. The one thing I do wish it that ethereal was some sort of incoming signaling sound that came through when you start speaking to the receiver. There’s no indication sound for when the other end starts talking. It does how ever make a certain sound even single time you left go of the talk button (on both the sender and recipients side). We ordered these to help enable our son to feel more comfortable sleeping alone. He has a hard time going to be with out us so we thought this might be a fun solution for him. That being said this walkie talkie set is very kid friendly. Our sons still learning to use it but, I can say he is loving the experience and has been obsessing playing with them since we showed them to him. Overall this is a fantastic kid friendly walkie talk set that is not only easy to use but also has crystal clear audio.I am very impressed with this walkie talkie set!! We haven’t pushed the range boundaries very hard yet for how far apart you can be for a successful transmission. Regardless thus far the quality of this set is awesome!! We’re all very happy with this set!Hope this helps! Thanks for reading!

Wow these were simply amazing quality! They came in such a small and unflashy package that I was worried about the quality. Not so! These things were AMAZING. Amazing! Walkie-talkies have come so far in recent years! They were crystal clear, easy to use, and sharp sounding! They also had 22 channels! I was really impressed with these! I like that they also came with a dual charger…that way the kids don’t have to fight over the dead walkies. Very nice indeed! Great unisex color.PS: Ordered this for a 5 year old…probably better for a 10 year old with the dials and controls!

These are very nice walkie-talkies, once you figure it out. I had to play around with it to find the right channels to make it work. There are a lot of different functions on them. If you have a child that’s five and under I will say that they will need help working it.

  72. Positronic

What a great set for a young child – or anyone, really! Mine used this for a science project and then kept them for play. They have great stretch and transmission is clear throughout our neighborhood. The controls are simple enough for a 7 year old to use and understand. Highly recommended!

  74. BriBri

So much better than anything I had as a kid. Range and sound quality is very good. Comes with a Y charging cable so they can both be charged at the same time. Great gift for kids

These get played with everyday now hearing each other clearly even with volume control to appropriate sneak level. So glad to not hear that screeching sound would constantly get especially being in close proximity. Charging is way more easier to do with split ends to do both while being great cut back on batteries. Been really handy when me and husband used them on house projects to communicate. At one time when he was in the crawl space I remembered it had a flashlight so he could take less was quite bright.

Very nice quality on these walkies. They arrived 2 days after purchase. The box they arrived in was in good condition with no damage. Out of the box they looked nice. Plugged them in with the cord provided in the box which was also nice. It was a 2-way charger that charges at the same time. Very nice. Took maybe an hour to fully charge. Poer button turns them on. Only thing confusing to me was trying to turn the settings on one of them to just be able to talk through the walkie. It was one of the settings I had to change to 01 on the walkie. Other than that they work fine. My son was on the other side of the house, and I could hear him just fine.

My niece and nephew went insane for these walkie talkies. They are pretty much plug and play so a 5 and 6 year old just handled them by themselves. They took them and charged them themselves and within 30 minutes they were all over the house in different rooms talking to each other. It was hilarious because 5 year old girl is very bossy and her older brother is more passive so she was ordering him to different spots so she could talk to him.Definitely a success, a bit pricey but watching them have so much fun makes me say: “Worth it” if I would have to buy these for another set of kids.

These walkie-talkie are more than a toy. First, the range is great. We’ve tried outdoors with 4-5 blocks distance without a problem. Indoors work also fine within the same house and also a few houses apart. I can even think using it in case of an emergency as means to communicate within a neighborhood, when camping, etc. Then, are super easy and intuitive to use. It has 20 plus frequencies to choose from and pair the set, good speakers and volume, and are super portable, compact and light enough to be to carried inside a pocket. The clarity of the voice is very good as well. Battery life has hold for hours with intermittent use. In summary, this is great first set for your young ones and to be use for fun, outdoors, at the mall, etc. They even have a little flash light.

These are completely adorable. My daughters and I love the pink!Best of all, there are no batteries to buy!My 9 year old and 5 year old play with them at the lake all the time. Turned right on and they were already set to the same channel. Tested each and both sent and received messages fine. Sounded a tiny bit choppy but that’s pretty common with walkie talkies I think, especially at this price point. I got these for my daughter and I to play and they will be a Christmas present. I think she will be really excited and will even like the color of them. They seemed easy to use and had a little flashlight at the end which I thought was a cute feature. They came with their own charger and seem like a nice little set. I look forward to learning all the buttons and features with my daughter this Christmas.

They are easy to use, have great range, and 22 channels. My two youngest run around the house and the yard playing with them, constantly. Parent tip: double check the frequency channel that they’re using to make sure it’s clear. These will pick up–and join, other radios’ conversations.

Walkie-talkies sure have come a long way. These units can access 22 channels plus 38 CTCSS codes to narrow things down for privacy. It has a channel lock function, scanning capability, and call tones. You can set the units for voice-activated (VOX) conversation and adjustable sensitivity to cut down or eliminate any background noise that could keep the channel open. A big plus is that these are rechargeable. The range is acceptable for a 1/2 watt radio. A couple blocks apart in line of sight works fine for kids; even house to house in close proximity gets a thumbs up. My granddaughters wanted to play with my handheld ham radio. That’s hands-off, but with these walkie-talkies they can explore that realm in a kid-friendly package. (Mom and Dad could borrow them once the kids fall asleep.) Get these for indoor/outdoor play, picnics, campouts, multi-car road trips, etc. Get enough for the whole family!

They are rechargeable, easy to use, way longer range than I would have expected, and really cute! I was quite a long way away before I even began to hear static. There is a backlight for the screen, call tone, volume control. These are legit walkie-talkies!

These are the cutest walkie talkies! Can’t wait to give them to my nephews to play with. They are just the right size for kids to fit their hands around. Sound is clear, not sure on the distance yet. But my teenagers were hoping these were for them haha

This set is small enough and cute enough to work for kids. They are rechargeable, come with a cord that can charge both at once, and a detailed set of instructions. I’ve been using these to get ahold of my kid who lives upstairs when I need his attention. Otherwise the kids love playing with them.

  105. Tasha Cummings

These walkie-talkies are great. They offer quality sound and good range. What are these so I can use them while on the ship this year so I have to test how they do range wise across the ship but in my home this works very well.

  106. Jen SwiderJen Swider

My kids had been asking me to get them walkie talkies for quite some time. I was concerned about others getting on their channel, but these have 22 channels to choose from. The range is great – several streets over and the sound is still crisp. I like the size of these – perfect for little hands to carry.

  107. Monica Bialik

The fact that you can recharge them alone is enough to buy them but the fact that they work really well is even better

These are toys so I didn’t expect much out of them. Good for use inside but they won’t work well if they are far apart. We love on several acres so these are best used inside. The one good thing is they are rechargeable.

  114. TDD

This pair of walkie talkies has very good sound quality and more options of controls than I’ve seen before — 22 channels, quality display, and more. But the basic controls are simple, and it’s pretty much plug and play. Rechargeable with enclosed USB-C cable. It’s supposed to have an amazing 3-mile range, but I haven’t tested it that far. Marketed to kids 3-12 years old, which seems about right. The handsets seems sturdy and look like they’ll handle some abuse.

  119. Kevin Holt

  120. Dan

This is a great little set for kids. Lightweight and easy to use with a cool little light feature. Battery life is impressive, clarity is good as long as you aren’t too close to the receiver. The range is decent, definitely not 3 miles like described but probably a few houses away. The transmit button is placed in the middle of the handset which makes it a little awkward since your hand is in front of your mouth when transmitting and I really wish it was on the side. That was the only real thing that bothered me, otherwise, these are a great set for kids.

  121. Kristine Yutzy

The only reason im taking a star off is because the charger did not come with a base for the wall. That’s super annoying. They work great, I can’t say anything for the distance as we just use them around our house and yard but we haven’t had any issues so far. My daughter thinks they’re the coolest thing.
